Do Your Best - Leave the Rest

One of the problems that assail us all is worrying about tomorrow and what might be.

The Bible advises us to not have anxious thoughts about tomorrow and the things we cannot change (Luke:12:22-26[22]And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.[23]The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.[24]Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?[25]And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? [26]If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?).

We realize that worrying does not make things better and only adds an additional load to our lives. However, that does not mean we can forget about the things to come. We are expected to do the best that we can in every circumstance.

It is a blessing to know that once you have truly done your best, you can leave the rest and not worry about it. Knowing that we have tried with all of our might is the comfort we seek. There are events and things in life that we cannot change. When we have done all there is to do, we need to let go and let God take care of the rest for us. That is our comfort and strength. It may take some practice, but once you know your efforts were complete, letting go of the worry is a blessing.

07/18 - 07/19

I was about to go Davao Postal Office and apply to get a postal ID... Since I have a document that was in error, I went to Ateneo de Davao University - Post Office nalang to apply there... my first time to enter in that university here in Davao City... I was amazed, I like the surroundings... I thought of going back to school again... hmm...

After processing my requirements (Birth Certificate, Cedula, Brgy Clearance, Notarized document, Passport size picture)). Maybe an hour...

Tah-daaah!

I got my postal ID!!! yey! :D thanking God for He heard my prayer...
hmm.. And also, to kuya Charlie and Ma'am Joy Namis (friend of kuya Charles), without the two, i couldnt get my postal ID (one of the requirements to get my ATM). Of course, I spent money more than my budget... but its okay, GOD will provide when I’m in need... :)

Happy but sad, for the reason that realized that I need to change one of my very important document, which is my Birth Certificate... oh no! Just one letter... and the world of mine will turn upside down... ugh!!! and i need a lot of moneeeeey...

Anyways, I deactivated my Facebook account... Hmm... No serious reason/s ... I just want to try of having no Facebook... :D

Headache strikes... as always... headache for two weeks... ouch! It’s now part of my daily struggle...
:( it’s like squeezing your head! I believe that prayer is more than a medicine...
I prayed and rested earlier... but I missed "Prince of Persia" showing... next time again... :( aaaw.

July 19, 2011 - Tuesday.

..And today... we had our compass check... it's about the Religion of Judaism... and about the TRUE church...
The thing that really stood out for me is about the true church... the True church, is the one who is obeying God's commandment, not the traditions of men...

Oh! I like what late Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong said and it's true...
"People today are the same... human nature today are still the same... and there are a lot of modern Pharisees today...”

I was about to checked my email...
    and....
someone emailed me and asked about what happened to my Facebook account... hehe... Well, I found out, even if he’s not sending FB message to me at all, but at least he’s still visiting my profile... I like! ;)

I still have my headache... I don’t know if it’s because of my eyes or a MIGRAINE... oh no!!! :(
 Hoping and praying that my health is okay.

...and a little bit of confused about something... that really made me "tulala" ...

Since this is public, I will just write it on my notebook... hihih... just for now... :) I will keep it to myself first...

Wednesday . . .

Another day...

Something’s bothering me... and I keep on worrying... :(
I hope, miracles will exist this time... I need it...
My heart is breaking... oh oh!!!

Someone send me this quote that made me think and meditate...

"God never takes away something from us without giving us something better.
When you pray, don't BEG, simply BELIEVE.
That's how FAITH works." :)

-- Yea. I am working on it.

Just to forget the problem... I found out the new Google Plus... and ate Analou introduced it to me...

im enjoying it now...and I like it... its like Facebook.. Uh-oh! But, not really populated like FB... Ü

like this song...

STEEP
by Lauren Christy

Softly, gently, I will let you down
Cause I don't love you in the same way now
I can hold you but not with lover's arms
Cause you are more of a brother to me now
And I can lie next to you, but I can't lie to you

So walk into the sun and watch me
Run into the rain,
For you the future's easy, so don't weep, for me it's getting
Steep

I loved you for exactly who you are,
And I'd say you've come the nearest yet by far,
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/l/lauren_christy/steep.html ]
And I can lie next to you, but I can't lie to you

So walk into the sun and watch me
Run into the rain,
For you the future's easy, so don't weep, for me it's getting

Steeper and in the dark that's where I want to be
Deeper, I'm going somewhere you won't want to see...

So walk into the sun and watch me
Run into the rain,
For you the future's easy, so don't weep
Yes I will watch you,
Walk into the sun and watch me
Run into the rain drops
For you the future's easy, so don't weep
For me it's getting
Steep.

Women of the Bible 1

Dinah
The Woman Who’s Sightseeing Had Fatal Results
Scripture Reference: Genesis 34

Name Meaning: Dinah means "justice" or "one who judges," and was doubtless given her as a token of her parents' belief in divine justice.

Family Connections: She was a daughter of Jacob and Leah, and as a member of a family under covenant blessing should have been more careful regarding her personal obligationn in maintaining the honor of her home and nation.

Apphia
Scripture Reference: Philemon 1:2
Name Meaning: That which is fruitful.

Tryphena and Tryphosa
Scripture Reference: Romans 16:12
Name Meaning: Delicate or dainty one

Hodesh
Scripture Reference: 1 Chronicles 8:8-9
Name Meaning: New moon

Phoebe
Scripture Reference: Romans 16:1, 2
Name Meaning: Pure or radiant as the moon

Eunice
The Woman Whose Son Became a Famous Evangelist
Scripture Reference: Acts 16:1-3; 2 Timothy 1:5; 2 Timothy 3:14-15; 2 Timothy 4:5

Name Meaning: Eunice implies "conquering well," and was a name expressive of a good or happy victory and in its origin doubtless commemorated some such event. Nice or "nike" was a favorite ending of female names in the Macedonian age. Eunice lived up to her name for she conquered in the effort to bring up her son in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Family Connections: Eunice was the daughter of Lois whose name is of Greek origin. Scripture is silent as to the identity of her father. A Jew, Eunice married a Gentile, and as nothing is said of him it can be assumed that he was dead by the time Paul contacted the family.

Rebekah, Rebecca
The Woman Whose Favoritism Brought Sorrow
Scripture Reference: Genesis 22:23; Genesis 24; Genesis 25:20-28; Genesis 26:6-35; Genesis 27; Genesis 28:5; Genesis 29:12; Genesis 35:8; Genesis 49:31; Romans 9:6-16

Name Meaning: Rebekah is another name with an animal connection. Although not belonging to any animal in particular, it has reference to animals of a limited class and in a peculiar condition. The name means a "tie rope for animals" or "a noose" in such a rope. Its root is found in a noun meaning a "hitching place" or "stall" and is connected with a "tied-up calf or lamb," a young animal peculiarly choice and fat. Applied to a female, the figure suggests her beauty by means of which men are snared or bound. Thus another meaning of Rebekah is that of "captivating." If, then, Rebekah means "a noosed cord," the loop was firmly around Isaac's neck. When Isaac took her as his bride he forgot his grief for his dead mother, and lived happily with his wife for twenty years during which time they had no children.

Family Connections: Rebekah is first mentioned in the genealogy of the descendants of Nahor, Abraham's brother (Genesis 22:20-24). When the pilgrims set out from the Ur of the Chaldees, Nahor was one of the party, and settled down at Charran where Terah, his father, died. Among Nahor's sons was Bethuel who, by an unknown wife, became the father of Rebekah, the sister of Laban. Rebekah married Isaac the son of Abraham, by whom she had two sons, Esau and Jacob.

I just took the Personality temperament exam again... and heressssss... the result!

Phlegmatic/Melancholic...

yay!!! I could almost see myself in this result... finally! haha,, I know, I am not Melancholic/Phlegmatic... hahaha... :D just Phlegmatic/Melancholic... :)

it says:

The PhlegMel
Of all the temperament blends, the PhlegMel is the most gracious, gentle, and quiet. He is rarely angry or hostile and almost never says anything for which he must apologize (mainly because he rarely says much). He never embarrasses himself or others, always does the proper thing, dresses simply, and is dependable and exact. He tends to have the spiritual gifts of mercy and help, and he is neat and organized in his working habits. Like any phlegmatic, he is handy around the house and as energy permits will keep his home in good repair. If he has a wife who recognizes his tendencies toward passivity (but tactfully waits for him to take the lead in their home), they will have a good family life and marriage. However, if she resents his reticence to lead and be aggressive, she may become discontented and foment marital strife. He may neglect the discipline necessary to help prepare his children for a productive, self-disciplined life and so "provoke his children to wrath" just as much as the angry tyrant whose unreasonable discipline makes them bitter.

The other weaknesses of this man revolve around fear, selfishness, negativism, criticism, and lack of self-image. Once a PhlegMel realizes that only his fears and negative feelings about himself keep him from succeeding, he is able to come out of his shell and become an effective man, husband, and father. Most PhlegMels are so afraid of over-extending themselves or getting over involved that they automatically refuse almost any kind of affiliation.

Personally I have never seen a PhlegMel over involved in anything - except in keeping from getting over involved. He must recognize that since he is not internally motivated, he definitely needs to accept more responsibility than he thinks he can fulfill, for that external stimulation will motivate him to greater achievement. All phlegmatics work well under pressure, but it must come from outside. His greatest source of motivation, of course, will be the power of the Holy Spirit.

Barnabas, the godly saint of the first-century church who accompanied the Apostle Paul on his first missionary journey, was in all probability a PhlegMel. He was the man who gave half his goods to the early church to feed the poor, the man who contended with Paul over providing John Mark (his nephew) another chance to serve God by accompanying them on the second missionary journey. Although the contention became so sharp that Barnabas took his nephew and they proceeded on their journey by themselves, Paul later commended Mark saying, "He is profitable to me for the ministry" (2 Tim. 4:11). Today we have the Gospel of Mark because faithful, dedicated, and gentle Barnabas was willing to help him over a hard place in his life. PhlegMels respond to the needs of others if they will just let themselves move out into the stream of life and work with people where they are.

~~~ Personality temperament is not important, God made us... each one of us have an individuality of being... ☺
it's T u e s d a y !!!
Today is very good day...
we had our compass Check in the office, listened and talked about timely messages inspired by Jesus Christ and God the Father ...
the verse that really stood out to me:
(1) 1 John 3:15 - Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
(2) Romans 12:1-2 -  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
***and we discussed about the Bread of Life... Jesus Christ is the Bread of Life.
God the Father sent Jesus Christ here on earth to feed us, His people... with Spiritual      food -- the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I've learned a lot this day... thanking God for all the blessings, giving me an inspiration to hear and understand His words...
~ True Femininity is a Fine Art ~
~ True femininity is first and foremost an attitude of mind.
~ It is how a woman thinks about herself and even more importantly, how she relates to men. It is a uniqueness that makes her lovely and beautiful to her male counterpart.
~ A truly feminine woman wants to be a woman — she does not desire to compete with a man in his role.
~ She tries to underline those qualities that make her distinctly different rather than trying to be like him.
~ She understands that God knows what is best for women because He created them.
*God made her physically weaker than the man with softer skin, delicate muscle tone and a higher voice.
* God made her different emotionally from men. She cries more easily and is generally more spontaneous in expressing joy and love.
~ Because the feminine woman knows that she was created to be man's support and helpmeet, she is happy with this knowledge. The qualities that make her feminine are reflected in her whole personality.
* She thinks femininely, seeing everything from a womanly point of view.
* The feminine woman capitalizes on and underlines the physical things that make her unique and attractive.
* Because she enjoys being a woman and fulfilling that role, her physical softness and beauty come through in everything she does.
* Because she is physically weaker (and is not ashamed of it), her movements and mannerisms are more delicate and gentle.
* Because her voice was not designed to shout down a whole room full of people, it is higher, softer, and has a soothing quality.
~~~ The truly feminine woman will have her mind on others rather than on herself. She will be aware of their needs and be concerned for their well-being. She is outgoing, warm, and considerate. She'll radiate joy because she is content with the role that God has given her and because she knows that giving and serving are what bring lasting joy and happiness. She will have a quiet confidence and serenity because she is fulfilling the role that God intended her to perform. In short, she thoroughly enjoys being a woman! ~~~
