STAFF --- for the first time :-)

This year's camp with the theme, “BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE” was very challenging. I was a camper for about three (3) times (year 2004, 2005 & 2007). I find it simple and lots of fun. But now, I’m already one of the staff. All I can say, ‘what a hard and difficult role’... waking up early in the morning, sleeping very late at night, washed dishes under the rain... it was an extreme experience... ‘One day’ feels like ‘one week’ for me...
I can now compare being a camper and being a staff... Being a staff was not really easy; you've got a great task. But, I enjoyed and learned many things on how to be the best I can be, for the reason that being a staff was my decision.

I love to serve, which was my first priority in life, to serve others and most especially to serve God. I cannot stop thinking about all the things that I've been through this year's camp. Learned our everyday lessons on how to be the best we can be. (Physically, Emotionally, Mentally, Socially, Occupationally and Spiritually)... This was very challenging yet very pleasurable. Meeting new people, serving new people, carve up a smile with new people; building new friendships... the greetings of every dorm when they passed by me makes my day bright… the smiles I received every day from campers & staff. It made me smile every time I learn by heart all those memories and wanted my tears roll down my cheeks. Kisses and hugs from friends, their corny jokes, the laughter, the aura… haaaaay! Okay! I will miss the temperature, cold water when taking a bath… hmmm… FREEZE!!! :D

It was marvelous to know that God works in you. He uses people to inspire you and encourage you in everything you do... Even though, you know that you’re very tired and can’t make things easily, but just a smile of anyone (campers & staff), all the pains and tiredness of what you feel will disappear. You can feel the love and care that they have for you, although they are busy and also tired, but still can afford to beam like there’s no tomorrow. I can also feel the pain that they’ve been through (cramps during their activities) because I’ve been there. YES! You cannot appreciate happiness if you’re not been through the pains... Just like life, LIFE is boring if you have no trials to overcome. That’s true!

One thing that it made me cry, was that even though you’re JUST A STAFF (not the highlight of the camp), but still they’re proud of you, remember you and thanking you for the help you offer, the effort to be a part of the successful camp. And the most important thing, the lessons that I’ve learned… and the people behind it… it’s the people (campers & staff – with God) who made the camp …
So, with that, from now on, I will be joyful to serve God and His people... and make every effort to be the BEST I CAN BE! :)
I would say... The HARDEST, BEST and EXTREME CAMP EVER!
I will never ever, ever FORGET!!! :)

Live Life Over

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa fade.
I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass blemish.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching television - and more while watching life.
I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.
I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."
There would have been more "I love yous"... more "I'm sorrys"...but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute... look at it and really see it...live it...and never give it back.

Here I Go Again!!!

March 2, 2011

During our Bible Study, I thought of someone I’ve met once, and the one whom I admire most. I accidentally remember the moments...from the time we met until the time I’ve known him that well (not much). Those were the days, a happy time for me. Yeah! I admit that I was in the point of what we call "head over heels". In love with whom I met as a friend.
Everytime I think of those days, I just found myself smiling.

I know that it’s a part of growing up, to love and to let go of the things that are not meant to be.
Many questions that still in my mind. Questions that I think no one could ever answer, except God.
Until now, the memories are still fresh… I can still remember those times… it was a sure experience… unforgettable moment in time.

If You Forget Me by Pablo Neruda

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
remember
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

But
if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine.

The day you said Hello... ♥

… Indeed, it all started with one HELLO. I never expected how you change my simple life… with just a simple smile of you. Back then, everything is NORMAL but now it’s kinda different… No matter how hard I tried to get you out off my mind but I can’t manage not to think of you… wow… one way of saying that you really captured my young heart and my whole being… what will I do now?! Forget you?! But forgetting you is the hardest thing I could ever do… or shall I say, if you have time... could you please love me the way I do?!.. I can’t promise anything but my purest, deepest love… I will give it to you as I never give it to anyone yet… You have been my heart’s beat… I’m so stuck on you… Can’t rid you out my thoughts all day through… I wish I could think of something else but you have occupied all my brain cells…. What are you? Can you please tell me? Why must I be so attracted to you like this?

Why I can’t just forget you when everything that I could think of is you… and me… together… forever…

… Have you ever felt the same way too?! Or only me who keeps on dreaming’? I know I have to move on… get rid of all this nonsense emotions. I know, that it will lead me to nothing… but
I cannot do it overnight… So please do cooperate… Stop being gentle, kind, and caring… as if you really care… I know that you are just being friendly, and you cannot blame me of putting meaning in everything… I am just human… a girl… a woman who does not have a wooden heart…  Who loves you for real… But certainly wonders if you feel the same… do you? I’m getting curious… Do you see me?
